I aim to incorporate elements of field work into my courses wherever possible, and I engage students in data collection in both introductory and advanced classes.

As curator, I have taught short field courses for the Tropical Biology Association and Yale-NUS College, and am exploring partnerships with Pittsburgh-area universities to offer additional field courses based in Borneo.
As professor at Yale-NUS College, I developed several new courses and taught in the common curriculum (Foundations of Science, Scientific Inquiry) as well as in more specialized courses (Conservation Biology, Food Ecology & Evolution).

Below are some highlights from a few of my favorite courses.
